Quality control supervisor

Sure Start Staff are looking for an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our reputable client based in the Chadderton area. The successful candidate will earn GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 (DOE). If you have experience in supervising and organising your team then this is a perfect opportunity for you. As a Quality Control Supervisor, the role will be to supervise and organise your team ensuring workload is distributed and schedules are adhered to. This is a senior position within the quality team, playing a vital part in the success of the department. You will solve complex, challenging issues and be considered a technical expert in the team through directing the way with best practices. In this role, you will have numerous responsibilities to take ownership of and drive like developing process audit plans, implementing new methodologies to improve quality, and using problem solving techniques to identify issues. As aforementioned, you will play a big part in the development of other team members through mentoring and regular meets. The ideal candidate will be results driven and thrive on focusing on continuous improvements and naturally look to support the development of themselves and those around them. Employment Type: Permanent Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7.00am-4.30pm / Friday, 7.00am-3.30pm Location: Chadderton OL9 Daily Duties: * Ensure targets and deadlines are met. * Be accountable for your department and team. * Ensure quality standards are always met and hold members of the team accountable when these standards are not met. * Implement correct procedures for non-compliance within your team. * Communicate required daily activities to the team in your department. * Produce participate in programme planning of work scopes. * Encourage best practice in all involved work disciplines and particularly regarding health and safety, Quality, and environmental issues. Required experience: * Strong communication skills - leading by example, encouraging teamwork and motivating others. * Flexible hands-on approach to work and a positive attitude in getting the job done. * The ability to respond in a pressured working environment to produce beneficial results. * The ability to challenge existing practices while looking for continuous improvement. * Knowledge of handling and lifting techniques. * Good housekeeping skills. * Ability to multitask and stay organised under pressure.
