Junior accounts assistant 6 month fixed term contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate/school leaver who has an interest in pursuing a career within the accountancy sector, to join a well established local business based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. With training and support from the team, the successful candidate will undertake many finance duties throughout the course of the next 6 months, typical duties include: Invoicing - raising sales invoices on a daily basis Credit Control - chasing overdue invoices Sales Ledger Management - setting up new customers, carrying out credit checks Supporting Purchase ledger VAT Returns Expenses Assist with producing management reports Adhoc duties to support the team Applications are welcomed from candidates who are able to demonstrate the following skills: Interest in a career within Accountancy and Finance Hardworking individual with a flexible attitude to learning Enthusiastic person who is willing to work as part of a team This role would suit a candidate who perhaps has started studying towards a relevant Accountancy and Finance qualifications who is looking for their first step in to the industry, or a school leaver who is looking to gain some experience with an interest in Accountancy and Finance. This is a fully office based role, so all applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and currently residing in the local area.
