The ideal Teaching Assistant will need to have experience working with children with various special educational needs. 1:1 and in a group setting. The ideal Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant should have the following: At least Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment. Experience working with children with special educational needs in a 1:1 setting. A calm, patient and caring personality. Good communication skills. A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
