Role Responsibilities * Responsible for running medium/large-size projects. * Undertakes a client-facing role in the development design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc. * Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes * Overseeing both mechanical and electrical disciplines by reviewing drawings, approving designs and being a point of contact when it comes to the progress and success of the projects in progress * Attend and run design team meetings and see what needs to be changed and improved etc in regards to design processes. * Surveys tests and reports on existing Mechanical installations * Specifies activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and client requirements * Day-to-day decision-making on project progress and direct liaison with and providing advice to client * Represents the company at technical meetings with clients, professional teams and contractor teams. * Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards * Responsible for technical content and accuracy of trainees, graduates and engineers * Validation and checking of designs and specifications Role Requirements * BEng, MSc, and have sufficient experience * Working towards Chartered Eng status * Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types * Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation * Knowledge of MS Office applications, Revit, Hevacomp and AutoCAD * Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software * Good understanding of BS standards * Ability to prioritise own workload * Ability to work to deadlines * Background in consulting or construction preferred. * Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
