Quantity Surveyor Midlands Up to GBP45,000 plus company package We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK #39;s largest contractors working on HS2. This Quantity Surveyor role is working as part of the piling and ground engineering sub-contractor package within the Midlands. The business is a leader in civil engineering and infrastructure sector. This Quantity Surveyor role will be working as part of a very specialist team. This package will be over 3 years initially, with a strong orderbook within the region. The role will be working on major structures and technical elements. Following on from this scheme they will Role Purpose: Our client is looking for candidates with experience in a strong commercial aspects of the scheme. Duties: bull; Measure, record value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures. bull; Measure interpret specifications drawings. bull; Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates if required. bull; Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works. bull; Plan commercial activities to meet monthly timescales. bull; Collation of Cost and Value Information. bull; Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements. bull; Submission and Agreement of Adjustment Events with Client. bull; Collect information required to specify procurement requirements. bull; Understand the steps / documentation required. bull; Assist Procurement function where required. bull; Collation of cost and value information. bull; Management of Sub Contractors Accounts. Experience: bull; BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent. bull; Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor in the civil engineering.
