Plc software engineer

PLC Software Engineer position for leading intralogistics company GBP50k + overtime (up to GBP70k) Telford, Shropshire A leading manufacturer of process control and automation solutions is looking for an established PLC Software Engineer to join their team. The company designs, engineers, and implements customized control systems that regulate and optimize complex industrial processes. Responsibilities: To manage individual projects at an engineering level in line with the lead times and standards required by the client To manage individual projects at a client level in line with the lead times and standards required by the client To develop technical documents in line with the client requirements to the industry standard using technical features, diagrams and language To develop bespoke software routines and functions to allow machines/systems to function in a safe and controlled manor as required by the client and/or FDS To implement the company systems software standard where required while developing software for the business To develop safety software for use on any systems where safety controllers are to be used. In line with BS-EN13849 To ensure systems are correctly tested and quality checked prior to shipping To ensure all aspects of bespoke software is tested to the required degree prior to systems shipping and commissioning To commission bespoke systems both at the company headquarters and onsite within the UK and from time to time overseas in line with all relevant standards To be capable of working away onsite during the working week where the nominal split across a 12 month period is around 10% home, 20% site and 70% in office. Please note: not all site work requires the candidate to stay away if travel door to door is less than 1.5 hours (where staying away is required all hotel bills are carried by the employer directly and shall not fall to the employee) To work as part of a team both in the workshop and onsite as required, to assist others in their work to ensure a project #39;s success.
