Health and Safety Director An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Health and Safety Director to join our well-established London based, multi-disciplined contractor. With responsibility for providing expert advice on Health and Safety matters, you will drive excellence and ensure compliance in a dynamic environment. The client has several divisions servicing the construction industry and this role will take control of the Health Safety aspect for the Group. Key Responsibilities: bull; Develop and execute the Health and Safety strategy for the entire company. bull; Drive continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance across all operations. bull; Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders. bull; Ensure compliance with legal obligations and industry best practices. bull; Oversee and manage third-party contractor Health and Safety performance. bull; Develop and implement processes for monitoring and controlling contractor performance. bull; Support colleagues in meeting Health and Safety requirements both in office and remote working environments. Leadership Skills: bull; Proactively engage colleagues to deliver Health and Safety compliance and drive continuous improvement. bull; Act as an escalation point for Health and Safety issues. bull; Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain Health and Safety standards. bull; Analyse performance metrics to inform areas of focus and drive timely action. Qualifications and Experience: bull; Minimum of 5 years #39; experience in senior Health and Safety management roles. bull; Relevant degree or professional qualification in Health and Safety. bull; Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management. bull; Experience in managing third-party contractor performance. bull; Chartered member of IOSH or actively working towards it. bull; Evidence of continuous professional development.
