Multi skilled maintenance engineer

Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights) Salary: GBP50,500 Location: Greater Manchester (Bury area) Industry: FMCG | Food Futures are delighted to be working with a really well-established and niche FMCG | Food Manufacturing business based in the Greater Manchester area. Due, to recent growth and large investments of circa GBP3.5m the factory is enjoying an impressive growth spout and therefore looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established Engineering team. Reporting into the Engineering Manager, a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring production is running smoothly and efficiently by rectifying any machinery breakdowns and working as part of a team on continuous improvement projects and PPM #39;s. The site has a big push on continuous improvement projects which has resulted in fewer breakdowns over the years. Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer: Working on machinery and equipment breakdowns to ensure production is up and running. Routine and Preventative Maintenance as planned on a CMMS system. Continuous Improvement Projects Repairing equipment and machinery. Diagnosing and rectifying Electrical faults. Working alongside the Project and Automation team and support with new improvement ideas. Conducting frequent quality checks on machinery and equipment Working safely and in accordance with the health and safety regulations on site. Plan / prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time. Identify spares requirements. Assist with moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment on site. Successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have: Mechanically or Electrically trained to an NVQ Level 3 or equivelant. Multi Skilling experience, capable of dealing with both mechanical and electrical issues. Proven Experience working within a FMCG | Food Manufacturing Industry (catering, foodservice, wholesalers would also be fine). Ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively within the team and production. Basic to advanced experience with PLC rsquo;s would be beneficial. What #39;s in it for you?
