Position: Coating Operator Overview: The Coating Operator is responsible for preparing, spraying, and inspecting customer products using various thermal spraying techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to follow specific procedures. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare customer products for spraying, including cleaning, masking, and blasting. * Operate semi-automatic equipment for HVOF and Plasma spraying. * Seal customer products as part of the process. * Maintain control of jigging/fixtures and ensure they are stored in the correct area. * Monitor and maintain section consumables and control powder stock. * Inspect goods on arrival and conduct in-process inspections. * Strip coatings from jigs/fixtures when needed. * Ensure proper documentation and move work to designated areas on the shop floor. * Report and monitor any material affecting processing. * Follow health safety and environmental procedures, maintaining a clean work environment with 5S practices. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: * Experience in an engineering environment. * Ability to read engineering drawings. * Attention to detail, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude. * Thermal spraying experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
