Children 39;s residential support worker

Our client is a leading provider of care and support services for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). They are seeking passionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker rsquo;s to join their team in Redditch. The role involves playing a crucial part in providing care, guidance, and support to children and young people with EBD within their 4-bedded residential home. You will work closely with the children, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to create a positive and nurturing environment conducive to their development and well-being. Key Responsibilities: * Provide direct care and support to children and young people with EBD in a residential setting. * Implement individual care plans, tailored to the needs of each child, under the guidance of senior staff and professionals. * Foster positive relationships with the children, promoting trust, respect, and emotional well-being. * Support children in daily activities, including personal care, education, recreational activities, and life skills development. * Actively engage with children to encourage participation in therapeutic interventions and activities designed to promote social, emotional, and behavioural development. * Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress notes. * Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, social workers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for the children. * Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements: * Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar setting. * A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable children. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and families. * Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in duties as required. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary. * Willingness to undergo relevant training and continuous professional development. * A full UK Driving License.
