Senior business analyst

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Business Data Analyst to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in senior management reporting, leveraging data to optimise processes, and acting as a bridge between risk management functions and technologists. Your primary responsibility will be to prototype and define reporting and analytical requirements in a concise, logical, and understandable manner. You #39;ll collaborate closely with Risk, Control, and Compliance functions, as well as central reporting teams. As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will: Be a significant contributor to the development of risk and control assessments for market products and asset classes. Work alongside senior business stakeholders to ensure that risk and control assessments have comprehensive scope, are fit for purpose, and adhere to regulatory expectations and policy requirements. Execute assigned deliverables and work products, managing cross-team dependencies and proactively identifying issues and risks. Drive engagement across the Markets business and collaborate with stakeholders across the three lines of defence, as needed. Inform key updates and decisions for presentation to management within your areas of responsibility. As a successful candidate, you should have the following: Analytical Proficiency: Ability to effectively use and interpret data, employing analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate results through careful and conscientious work. Knowledge/Experience Dealing with Risk and Control Functions (Required): You should have hands-on experience working with risk and control functions. Risk Management Practices (Required): Familiarity with risk management practices is essential. Global Sales Trading Environment (Preferred): Exposure to a global sales and trading environment would be advantageous. Skills Advanced Excel Knowledge (Required): Proficiency in Excel, including complex data manipulation and analysis. Agile Delivery Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Tableau or Equivalent (Preferred): Experience with data visualisation tools.
