Registered children 39;s home manager

We rsquo;re looking for an experienced Children rsquo;s Home Manager to open up a brand-new Childrens Home in Durham. Having undergone recent renovation the home is ready to welcome new young people and provide a safe and nurturing home for them, they just need a good leader with experience of managing outcome-focused children rsquo;s care to take it forward and through registration. There is a RI in place already, and the company have good relationships with the LA. As the Registered Manager you rsquo;ll be responsible for taking the home through the registration process, accepting new referrals and managing the young people #39;s transition into the home, developing the staff team and ensuring that the home in run in compliance with legal and statutory requirements. On offer is a salary of GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 and the opportunity to grow your career (and salary) with this company. They have other properties already secured to develop into further provisions and plan to really expand this area of their business over the next few years creating much-needed services for vulnerable looked-after children. As a Registered Manager you rsquo;ll be responsible for; * Assessment and evaluation of new referrals and managing a smooth transition into the home * Ensuring that Ofsted standards are being met * Management of the home rsquo;s budget and expenditure * Develop quality assurance systems * Deliver effective leadership to the staff team, that promotes a positive culture of open practise * Ensuring the staff rota is effective What we rsquo;re looking for: * It is essential that you have experience of working within a children rsquo;s home ideally as a Registered Manager / Childrens Home Manager, though we will consider applicants with 2 years+ experience as a Deputy Manager. * Experience of working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties * You rsquo;ll demonstrate a sound understanding of Ofsted requirements * At least 2 years management experience in a relevant children rsquo;s setting within the last 5 years is ESSENTIAL in order to meet Ofsted requirements * QCF level 5 or equivalent in Leadership and Management for Social care (Children and Young People) Interested?
