Licensed animal technician

Experienced Animal Technician GBP25600 - GBP29800 We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Animal Technician to join our client #39;s growing team in Manchester. You will provide day-to-day care and welfare for rodents, supporting the research team. As an Animal Technician, your main role will be to look after and care for the unit rsquo;s mice and aquatics. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work under pressure, be scrupulous with regard to hygiene and have an eye for detail. As this is a highly specialised role, the ideal candidate will have previous experience with animals in a research environment. Your main duties will include: * Daily health checks * Fulfilling husbandry needs, e.g. cage cleaning * Sterilising consumables prior to entry into isolators * Stock checks of both animals consumables * Record keeping * If you are a PIL holder, you will be required to carry out the following regulated procedures e.g. gavaging, IP injections etc Don #39;t miss out on this amazing opportunity and apply today
