Technical manager

Post title ndash; Technical Manager Post reports to ndash; Regional Operations Manager Purpose of job ndash; Our business is organised in regional teams of up to 20 commercial engineers who work in concert with our central technical support team to deliver, service, repair, maintain and install the full spectrum of commercial building services. You and your colleagues will be the customer facing powerhouse of our business within your region with a portfolio of key clients and sites. Principal accountabilities ndash; Provide technical support and guidance on the telephone to engineers out in the field. Interact between administration team, management team and regional engineering team to disseminate information into the field. Monitor engineers and promote best practice in health and safety, engineering, and customer care. Be part in a 1 in phone on call rota. Necessary Experience and attributes ndash; Good interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Outstanding customer service skills. A friendly and professional telephone manner. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Strong attention to detail. Computer Literate. Specific Safety Responsibilities ndash; Responsible for: Communication Training Accident Reporting / Investigation Provision and Use of Work Equipment Document Control Health Personal Protective Equipment First Aid and Fire Arrangements Environmental Aspects Specific Training Courses Applicable to This Role ndash; Time served NVQ or City and Guilds Level 3 Gas engineer or Plumber. Full UK driving Licence is essential. Right to work in the UK. Able to pass a DBS check for relevant convictions
