Junior design engineer

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Junior Design Engineer to join a long-established company based in Heywood specialising in comprehensive solutions for a diverse range of sectors. As part of this skilled team you will help shape and influence the design of high value capital projects for a host of blue chip clients. What rsquo;s on offer? * GBP26,000 - GBP35,000 per year * Monday ndash; Friday * 40 hour week * 24 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) * Annual bonus based on group performance What will you be doing as Junior Design Engineer? * Learning from senior engineers to develop both standard and custom product designs * Assisting senior engineers in creating engineering and fabrication drawings for in-house manufacturing * Generating flat-pattern designs and organising nesting programs for the CNC laser * Collaborating on design-for-manufacture initiatives and assembly best practices * Preparing general arrangement drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials * Verifying product designs meet relevant regulatory standards * Ensuring components and assemblies meet quality standards * Facilitating communication between engineering and other departments What do you need? * NVQ qualification in engineering or fabrication * A strong working knowledge of 3D 2D CAD software * Proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes * An understanding of flat-pattern development and/or a background in sheet metal fabrication If you rsquo;re looking to take the next step in your career then this is a great place to hone your craft and get all of the support you need in the process.
