Automotive seating engineer

One of the world #39;s largest automotive Manufacturer #39;s is currently recruiting for an Interiors Engineer, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. Based in Sunderland, you will be working within a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Engineers on a contract basis. Responsibilities of the Automotive Interiors Engineer include: * Seat Design and development at part / module level * Responsible for life cycle management * Lead the industrialisation activities of new Seating systems into the Manufacturing Plant * Supplier management * Managing and reporting test validation, cost performance and part quality / reliability * Competitor benchmarking and trend research / analysis Background and Experience required for the Automotive Interiors Engineer position: * Ideally degree educated in a relevant design / engineering qualification * Previous automotive development experience * Knowledge of seating / interior cabin parts / modules * Knowledge of manufacturing processes * Good understanding of CAD interrogation * Cost analysis skills related to automotive interior / seat parts * Proficient in Microsoft office skills You will hold a valid driving licence and have the capability to travel globally.
