Your role won rsquo;t be confined to the sidelines; you rsquo;ll be an active participant in shaping the educational landscape. From English to Mathematics, Science to Art, you rsquo;ll engage with pupils across various subject areas, ensuring that every student rsquo;s unique learning needs are met. Your impact will extend beyond the classroom walls. As a Learning Support Assistant, you rsquo;ll lead small group sessions, tailoring your approach to each student rsquo;s strengths and challenges. Whether it rsquo;s decoding Shakespearean sonnets or unraveling the mysteries of quadratic equations, you rsquo;ll be there, providing guidance, encouragement, and a dash of inspiration. About the role: Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate. Plan, Prepare and deliver specified learning activities to individuals, small groups and/or classes modifying and adapting activities as necessary under the direction and supervision of a teacher. Develop independence in our SEN students using metacognitive strategies to help them become self-regulated learners Take small group intervention sessions. Provide pastoral care to pupils, supporting pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate. The ideal candidate will have: Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning. Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills. The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers. Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly Secondary children on the Autism Spectrum. The ability to manage a small group of children with complex social communication needs. The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.
