Key Responsibilities: Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students within the special needs unit, catering to their specific learning needs and abilities. Autism Support: Utilize your experience and understanding of autism to implement effective strategies and interventions to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Assisting Classroom Activities: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities, ensuring students with special needs are included and supported in classroom settings. Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement among students, fostering a safe and conducive learning environment. Collaborative Approach: Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and provide holistic support to students.Requirements: Experience with Autism: Demonstrate previous experience working with children or young adults with autism, possessing a deep understanding of their needs and characteristics. Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant qualifications or certifications in special needs education or related fields, demonstrating your commitment to supporting students with diverse needs. Team Player: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
