Project scheduler

This is a key role involved in planning and organising resources, timelines, and tasks to ensure that projects or production runs are completed efficiently and effectively. Reports to Operations Manager What you can expect to get involved in * Developing Project Schedules: Creating detailed project schedules that outline all tasks, phases, milestones, and deadlines. This involves working closely with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to understand all project aspects and requirements (product warranty / Insurance backed guarantee/external hire requirements) * Resource Allocation: Allocating resources such as personnel, materials, and equipment effectively across various tasks and projects. The scheduler ensures that resources are available when needed to avoid delays and optimise productivity * Coordination and Communication: Acting as a liaison between various departments and teams to ensure everyone is aware of their schedules, deadlines, and responsibilities. Effective communication is crucial to prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth project execution * Monitoring and Updating Schedules: Continuously monitoring project progress against the planned schedules and making adjustments as necessary. This involves updating schedules to reflect changes in project scope, resources, or timelines and communicating these changes to all relevant parties * Identifying potential scheduling conflicts, delays, or resource shortages and developing contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with project timelines * Preparing and presenting reports on schedule status, progress, and forecasts to project managers and other stakeholders. This includes highlighting any potential delays or issues that may impact project completion dates * Using project management and scheduling software tools to create, update, and share schedules.
