Experienced Stocktake Manager - Retailing Well-established highly successful retail chain with varied multiple stores selling a wide variety of high quality products gifts Location: Edinburgh Salary: Around GBP50,000 plus various benefits My client is looking for an experienced Stocktake Manager to work with the finance team and other departments to manage and develop stock taking strategy, systems and processes. The company are highly successful with numerous stores across Edinburgh selling a variety of high-quality products, gifts and merchandise and also has a retail distribution centre close by strong ecommerce trade ndash; Amazon, eBay etc. The business is thriving and has grown considerably in the last couple of years and due to this increase in trade, the company are continuously reviewing implementing new processes controls and are now looking for an experienced Stocktake Manager to work closely with the Head of Finance. Finance teams and various other departments to manage and develop stock taking strategy, systems and processes. THE ROLE: We are looking for the following: middot; Experienced Stocktake Manager with a similar background working with retail stores online/ecommerce business middot; The ability to support stock management activities across all retail stores and the company rsquo;s warehouse. middot; The ability to develop a dedicated system to review and develop current processes and systems, conducting regular stock takes, working closely with store teams to ensure full understanding of systems operation, accurate inventory counts, and assisting in identifying and resolving stock-related discrepancies. middot; Happy to be based in or around Edinburgh middot; Flexible with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including occasional night shifts where necessary ndash; the company can also be flexible to work around your commitments. bull; Minimum of 2 years large multi-site retail bull; Minimum of 2 years Stocktaking Experience Required: We are looking for someone with a prove track record in a similar Stocktake Manager role duties will include the following: Stock-take specific duties: bull; Scheduling the stocktakes for all entities and associated shops / warehouses on a 6 monthly rolling basis in line with year-end audit requirements where appropriate. bull; Liaising with Area and Store Managers to plan appropriate staffing levels to assist with stock takes and provide necessary training bull; Overseeing and participating in physical stocktakes, analysing results, addressing variances and updating stock system as appropriate. bull; Reporting any concerning findings to Head of Finance and other stakeholders as necessary. Other responsibilities Taking ownership of stock system and processes to maximise accuracy of records through: * Ongoing review of internal process and data. * Working with stakeholders to develop more effective processes. * Investigating any discrepancies and neutralising the cause(s) as appropriate. * Ongoing training of staff to ensure systems and processes are being used employed properly. SKILLS Technical Skills bull; In depth knowledge of multi-site stock management software such as Fashion Master bull; Familiarity with retail stock-taking devices bull; Full understanding of product cycle including process, controls and associated documentation requirements bull; Considerable experience in using all mainstream Microsoft products but particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
