Production technician

Production Technician Location: Reading, RG30 1DZ Contract Type: Permanent Working hours: 4 days on and 4 days off shift pattern of 6am to 4pm or 2pm to 12am Salary: GBP25,200 (GBP21,000 plus 20% shift allowance) About BigSis BigSis is a fast-growing UK start-up that provides chemical-free insect control to farmers. Qualifications and experience Essential ndash; for entry level role bull; BTEC/HNC/HND as a minimum in a engineering subject such as mechanical, electronics engineering bull; Hands-on experience assembling electro-mechanical systems, including soldering, cable crimping, cable assembly, mechanical parts assembly and disassembly bull; Able to understand technical drawings and follow work instructions Desirable experience bull; Previous experience in a similar role bull; General understanding and hands on experience with workshop equipment and environment bull; Experience working with stepper motors, servo motors, automatic material handling systems bull; Experience of soldering of PCB assemblies bull; Work in an environment with hygiene and/or regulatory requirements, such as the food, cosmetics or medical sectors bull; Able to create work instructions and document the automation process bull; Experience of automated production line control and maintenance bull; Experience in a startup environment You may also have experience in the following: Production Operator, Production Operative, Machine Operator, Production Assistant, Operator, Support Technician, Production Engineer, Machinist, Technical Operator, Packer etc. REF-(Apply online only)
