Automotive test engineer ndash; electronic electrical reliability

Are you an experienced Test Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Automotive Manufacturer as they look to expand their New Vehicle Electronic Electrical Reliability team. Main Purpose of Automotive Test Engineer ndash; Electronic Electrical Reliability To support the Test team with management of electrical reliability tests relating to various Body Electronics systems as well as CAN architecture / network testing. Lead concern identification to root cause investigation including countermeasure recommendation. Support design departments to ensure the quality of component testing Responsibilities of Automotive Test Engineer ndash; Electronic Electrical Reliability Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required for test, includes arrangement of vehicle transportation when required Overall vehicle test technical coordination role where required (project leader). Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management Experience / Knowledge for the Automotive Test Engineer ndash; Electronic Electrical Reliability Be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline. Have working knowledge of Automotive architecture ndash; Ideally Japanese Manufacturers. Have experience risk assessment of electrical design and generation of test plans Understand network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) Be able to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections Be conversant with digital oscilloscopes, network and RF measurement equipment. Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. Suitable candidates must hold a valid UK drivers license.
