Parts assistant

Parts Assistant (Part-time) ndash; Spider is advertising on behalf of a very successful family run company with over 40 years rsquo; experience working in the Commercial Vehicle Sector. They are looking to recruit an experienced Parts Assistant to join their team on a permanent part-time basis (3 days per week) for our head office in Colchester, Essex. Fantastic benefits include: Competitive Salary: Salary of GBP26,000 per annum (pro rata to GBP15,600 for 3 days per week). Hours: Working 8am ndash; 5pm, with 1 hour for lunch, working 3 days per week of which one day must be Friday (other days to be discussed at interview stage), Holiday: 25 days holiday plus bank and public holidays (pro rata) Benefits: Company pension scheme The Parts Assistant will work as part of a busy team, delivering parts to customers and mobile engineers, and supporting with stock management and stocktake. Other duties include: Receiving/unloading deliveries Picking and packing parts orders ready for despatch Taking parts orders via telephone and email Managing disposal of waste stream (oil, filters, recyclables) About you: You will have an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills, whilst working in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident to work either on your own or as part of a team. Experience within the Automotive parts/service industry is an advantage but must be confident in working with IT operating systems. You will hold a full UK driving licence and it would be advantageous if you also hold a Forklift truck licence too.
