Electrical development engineer

Electrical Engineer Our client is a multi award winning business with a long history. Due to ever increasing success within the market they now have an opening for an Electrical Engineer to join them in their Development Department. As an Electrical Engineer you will work in a team that designs and builds machinery. Ideal candidate would have: An apprentice trained electrical engineering background with around 5 years experience. Electrical Engineer Duties: Electrical building of machines including all wiring and control panels, PLC set-up and programming (experience in programming not essential) Commissioning of production machines ndash; both internal and external, including occasionally oversees Working with, modifying, and installing machine automation (Allen Bradley, Schneider, Keyence etc.) Developing and improving existing machinery Fault diagnosing and finding solutions to a wide range of electrical problems Specifying and sourcing of electrical components required for builds Working closely with the design and mechanical teams, sharing ideas and concepts Support production/maintenance engineers when required Develop engineering improvements and systems in line with the company rsquo;s objectives Key Skills An Electrical Engineering background (ideally apprentice trained) with a minimum of 5 years rsquo; experience Experience building/fixing/running production machinery Competent at reading electrical schematic drawings Basic mechanical skills would be advantageous Experience with springs/coilers or wire industry would also be advantageous IT awareness and application Person Specification Good communication skills Self-motivated Displays integrity Able to work under pressure Works well within a team Problem solving and diagnostics Hours Option 1 is 4 day week, Monday to Thursday (6am-4:15pm Mon-Wed 6am to 3:15pm Thu) Option 2 is 5 day week, Monday to Friday (6am-2:15pm Mon-Thu 6am-1pm) Benefits Salary Circa GBP46,644 DOE 32 days pro rata (8 days bank holiday) Pension scheme Free parking Employee discount Additional Events Benefits death in service benefit; (after successful completion of 12 months service) cycle to work scheme (after successful completion of 12 months rsquo; service); training and development opportunities; optical care vouchers; one wellbeing day per year (after successful completion of probationary period); One additional day rsquo;s holiday (or pro-rata,if you work part time) following the completion of 5 years rsquo; service; Option to purchase additional days holiday entitlement (which is in addition to your holiday entitlement)
