Assistant buyer

TEXO Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Buyer on behalf of our external client on a permanent basis, in Bridge of don, Aberdeen. Responsibilities: Ensuring a cohesive and aligned approach to procurement across the companies, the Assistant Buyer will be responsible for ensuring a positive and pro-active approach to managing all aspects of their client contracts and assisting the buying team with any requirements. Duties: Procurement Strategy - Pro-actively contributes towards the companies rsquo; global procurement vision of best practice and being the market leader in procurement by working with Senior Management to improve and promote high levels of operational performance. Procurement Process - bull; Sources and supply goods / services in line with client KPI rsquo;s. bull; Achieve targets utilizing gainshare/baseline models and negotiating discounts to achieve additional profit. bull; Negotiates costs and payment terms with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery and technical standards are met. bull; Ensures the procurement process operate in line with company QHSE standards, policies, and procedures. bull; Ensures queries are resolved promptly whether internal or external. bull; Ensures customs paperwork is provided in a timely manner. bull; Ensures search and utilize client surplus stock for all RFQ rsquo;s received. bull; Ensures source eco-friendly alternative products and offer to customers. bull; Ensures customer feedback is received monthly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. bull; Proactively contributes to creating a good team atmosphere. bull; Ensure systems are always up to date (ebuy expediting) bull; Build sound relationships with customers/suppliers. Financial Control - Assist credit controller resolve client and supplier invoice queries in a timely manner. Customer Focus - Works towards holding full knowledge of clients rsquo; business and objectives of the contract. Requirements: bull; Previous Procurement Experience desired but not essential. bull; Proficient in the Use of IT systems including Excel, Crystal Reports, Dynamics GP, Management Databases
