Automotive electrician electrical prototype technician

Automotive Electrician/Electrical Prototype Technician Location ndash; Stafford Pay Rate ndash; GBP19.80 per hour. Hours Of work are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.00am to 2pm Contracting position - Outside IR35 E-ppl Ltd is a leading company in the manufacturing industry, providing Managed Services to OEMs and other customers within the UK and overseas. Our projects encompass a wide range of activities, from launch support projects to quality campaigns and van conversions. We are looking for skilled and experienced Auto Electricians to join our team supporting our customer building prototypes for a Commercial Conversion based in Stafford This will be on an ongoing contract basis. As an Auto Electrician you will be responsible for building looms and fitting harness and electrical components within the prototype vehicle. Responsibilities: * Provide technical electrical support throughout prototyping, vehicle build and conversion. * Diagnose and solve electrical faults on vehicles. * Rework and Build prototype harnesses. * Responsible for tracking and reporting trending issues during build. * Prepare test and validation activities whilst also supporting in the activities when required. * To assist in the build of vehicles; fitting harnesses, LV components and HV components * Work closely with engineers providing feedback to develop technical documentation. * Strong knowledge of automotive systems. * Removing, fitting, and upgrading interior and exterior parts. Requirements: * Successful candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills: * High school diploma and auto electrical qualification certificate or equivalent. * Proven work experience as an auto electrician. * Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems. * Strong problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in operating electrical diagnostic equipment. * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to work independently and efficiently. * Strong literacy and numeracy skills. * Willingness to learn. * Great hand-eye coordination and ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment. * Previous experience in an automotive work environment. * Proof of an auto electrician apprenticeship is a bonus. * Candidates are required to have their own basic tool set.
