Ref: 23711 Lead Electrical Design Engineer - The Role: #x2981; Take a leading role in the delivery of projects within Technology, ensuring all design requirements and procurement of materials are completed timely #x2981; Co-ordinate the efforts of other disciplines in delivering projects #x2981; Manage and support LV Staff in the development of their skills and capabilities #x2981; Provide technical assistance and guidance on projects both pre and post-sales #x2981; Monitor and plan projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget #x2981; Complete the production of electrical design drawings and calculations from client rsquo;s requirements, associated technical standards and lsquo;best rsquo; engineering practice. #x2981; Carry out technical reviews of electrical design drawings and calculations within the LV Engineering department. #x2981; Work as part of a collaborative team (coordinated by the Technical Manager) to develop standards tools in order to enhance productivity, improve quality, comply with legislation and/or keep abreast of developments in technology. #x2981; Assist in the generation of estimates, proposals and tenders as necessary. #x2981; Carry out technical reviews of estimates, proposals and tenders as necessary. Lead Electrical Design Engineer - The Person: #x2981; HNC/HND or BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience #x2981; Hands-on experience of Power Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies #x2981; Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure #x2981; Competent technical knowledge of industrial control and automation systems #x2981; Knowledge of selectivity and co-ordination of protective devices and switching devices. #x2981; Knowledge of electrical distribution theory, cable sizing, motor starting and control techniques. #x2981; Knowledge of programmable logic controller systems and associated hardware. #x2981; Knowledge of industrial communication networks, protocols and architecture. #x2981; Knowledge of Product Conformity requirements (UKCA / CE Marking).
