Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Twickenham, TW13 Payscale: GBP(Apply online only) per day Duration: Long-term to Permanent Start Date: September 2024 LTF Recruitment are working with a wonderful school in Twickenham, who are looking for a competent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school are looking for a HLTA on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will be full-time, working Monday-Friday within class. In this role, your key responsibilities as a HLTA will be based in and around the classroom, supporting the class teacher. This will include making sure correct behaviour is adhered to at all times, working with small groups and 1:1 interventions. A successful candidate will also be required to cover classes in the absence of a class teacher as well as plan and run their own interventions with specific groups of children. You will be working with children in years 3-6. A sound knowledge of the curriculum will be needed, as well as a good knowledge of strategies to best support SEN children. The school are looking for a candidate who: Has the relevant degree or HLTA qualification Is confident and enthusiastic about primary education and working with young students to help them succeed Has 1 years #39; experience within an education setting Understands various SEN needs Experience working on 1:1 Has a sound working knowledge of the National Curriculum Can effectively build relationships with children quickly.What can we offer? 24/7 support from consultants Easy-to-use timesheet portal Specific long term - permanent roles allowing us to focus on finding suitable roles rather than temporary shift work.
