Mechanical draughtsman

Nexus Resource Solutions are working in partnership with a market leading engineering company who specialise in the engineering and manufacturing services to the offshore, Marine, Renewables and Naval markets. Due to continued success, they require Drafter to join their talented engineering department. Job Responsibilities: middot;Produce and check General Arrangement and Component drawings in line with established standards (e.g. BS8888) middot;Produce and develop accurate 3D models middot;Ensure all deliverables are verified and validated in accordance with all relevant Company policies and regulatory requirements middot;Participate in internal design review meetings middot;Ensure that internal checking and approvals procedures are adhered to middot;Ensure correct and thorough maintenance of project documentation middot;Ensure Company Engineering Change Procedures are adhered to middot;Ensure Customer Care and Quality are always at the forefront. middot;Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritise and organise to ensure deadlines are achieved middot;Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained middot;Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department middot;Ensure personal compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE Company policy middot;Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times middot;Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager Knowledge and Skills: middot;Experience in the design of mechanical systems middot;Proficient in the production of Engineering designs and drawings to relevant standards middot;Computer literacy (including good command of MS Excel, Word, Outlook) middot;Working knowledge of limits and fits and geometric tolerancing. middot;Experience in Solidworks-based modelling and detail drawing middot;Experience of part and BOM generation in an ERP system Salary/Hours: middot;GBP40k-GBP50k DOE middot;7.5% pension middot;Hybrid working middot;Mon Fri home working in place middot;37hr week Nexus Resource Solutions LTD is acting as an employment business and an employment agency.
