Learning support assistant

A modern, improving school in Tameside has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This temporary role is well suited to a keen, dynamic, patient and confident individual who is looking to make a difference in the futures of young people. School * Large, lively academy. * Staff morale is good. * Effective relationships with parents. * Approachable and committed leadership team. Pupils * Aged 11-16. * One to one and in small groups. * Range of different Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ESBD, ADHD, physical disabilities and various learning difficulties. Learning Support Department * Supportive and welcoming. * Well-run by an experienced SENCO. * Varied provision to meet pupils rsquo; needs. Role of the Learning Support Assistant * Hours: 8:30 - 3:30. * 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. * Starting ASAP. * Supporting pupils in the and independently where necessary. Ideal Learning Support Assistant * Genuine interest in supporting disadvantaged young people. * Reliable and committed. * Able to follow instructions. * Experience of working with under 16s. * Able to work independently and on own initiative.
