Senior quantity surveyor hs2

Our client is a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor who deliver civil engineering services to some of the UK #39;s largest main contractors. They a are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS The successful candidate will support the Commercial Manager on a large infrastructure project in Buckinghamshire. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor rates prices, agreement of variations and or compensation events as required Undertakes customer and stakeholder management for the project Prepare, submit and negotiate claims when required Prepares Internal reports, commercial progress and financial reconciliation (CVR #39;s) Monitors subcontract activities Measure and respond appropriately monitor commercial progress and report to a Commercial Manager Experience/Knowledge: Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar technical qualification (HND HNC) Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Membership (preferred) Strong NEC experience with complete understanding of Options A, B and C Wide experience of the civil engineering Experience of being client facing Ability to use a range of IT packages, Microsoft Office and bespoke packages Exceptional relationship building skills, good client facing Self-motivated and proactive Commercial awareness and understanding of the Construction process Excellent communication skills, both oral written Negotiation skills Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlinesGreat company, great people, please call John Ashcroft for more information (phone number removed)
