Joining engineer

Currently looking for a joining engineers to join a client of mine in Wolverhampton. This will be a long term, 12 month contract and outside ir35. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities bull; Coordinate joining activities, review and buy off as required joint conditions as part of the phase activities. bull; Review teardown data and coordinate with onsite support to complete activities to optimise the process. bull; Provide technical expertise to team problem solving activities to accurately identify root cause and corrective actions. bull; Assist with weekly reviews with on-site support and manage activities to achieve green status bull; Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested. bull; Support the delivery and planning of joining options analysis and evaluation together with proposal presentation to senior stakeholders on Business Processes for Joining and related improvements. bull; Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: bull; Thorough understanding of Adhesive, Tucker/Henrob Self Piercing riveting, Bosch/Matuschek Resistance welding systems. bull; Experience of reviewing buy off events for Adhesive DAB and teardown. Teardown analysis for Riveting and Resistance welding, familiar with Bosch/Matuschek welding equipment and ARO guns to optimise process and reduce expulsion in the body shop. bull; Previous experience in Joining technologies with development and implementation experience. bull; Technical background in Joining Technologies working at a technical level with ANY of the following technologies, GTAW, GMAW, LASER, Self-Piercing Riveting, Resistance Spot Welding, Friction Stir Welding applications, Adhesive, Flow drive screw applications. bull; Experience of resolving key constraints and demonstrate improvements through root cause analysis. bull; Experience of specifying and installing new equipment bull; Understanding of vision systems (Coherix, ISRA etc.) and itsintegration with PLC and robots (ABB) bull; Previous experience in Supervising Vendor Joining, test house and equipment suppliers. bull; Understanding of Joining systems and metrics bull; Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred. Desirable: bull; Familiar with process rsquo;s managed by the joining team in JLR. bull; Understand company review process with PE to conclude NOK conditions and update Process and vendors with actions to complete.
