Final test engineer late shift

Location: Cambourne (CB23) Duration: Ongoing Hours: 1:45pm until 9:30pm (Monday to Friday) Hours Whilst Training: 7:15am to 4pm (Monday to Friday) Salary: GBP18.77 per hour (GBP17.02 per hour whilst training) Job Reference: 35278 Polytec are looking for a Final Test Engineer to work the late shift for our Cambourne based client. You will test products in accordance with established procedures ensuring that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met. Training is anticipated to take 8-12 weeks and will be delivered on the early shift (7.15am until 4pm). Responsibilities: * Assembly, sub-assembly and testing * Trouble-shoot malfunctions, carrying out basic modifications as required * Maintenance of test equipment * Participate in Lean activities as required * Contribute to driving continuous improvement, identifying waste in test processes * Maintain processes and procedures consistent with ISO standards. Requirements: * GCSE Mathematics and English * Qualification in Electronics / Mechatronics * Experience using MS Office * Working in an electromechanical test environment * Able to understand and follow test specifications and standard operating procedures * Experience of fault-finding on electronic or electromechanical systems * Proven ability to utilise user interface software to test, calibrate and operate complex electromechanical systems * Experience of assembling and / or testing precision instrumentation Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
