Safety Systems Engineer Our client has an exciting opportunity for a talented Systems Safety Engineer with high development potential and a can-do attitude. You will work as part of a cross border team and report to the Team Lead. The role is permanent, based at the client #39;s site in Aberdeen. Currently trialling a 9 day fortnight (non-contractual arrangement and subject to department cover) Key Responsibilities bull; Primarily you will assume a project delivery role. bull; Work in the project team to design and deliver new Pro-Safe hardwired safety control systems in accordance with our client #39;s lifecycle and engineering practices. bull; Design and execute modification workscopes for existing hardwired safety control systems in accordance with the clients lifecycle and engineering practices. bull; On occasions you may also be expected to assume a support role, by attending our client #39;s onshore/offshore sites to carry out maintenance, installation and commissioning activities. bull; Support the client #39;s sales team to deliver quotations by preparing sales supports for projects/modifications/renewals of the support contracts. bull; Develop customer awareness of the client #39;s safety engineering capabilities. bull; Assist in supporting the department with the development / maintenance of all necessary procedures documentation associated with IEC61508/61511 certification. bull; Assist with Training when requested, and to ensure full conversancy with the latest versions of Safety Shutdown Distributed Control Systems. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience: bull; Recognised qualification in either Electrical / Mechanical / Control Engineering or equivalent. bull; BOSIET/medical certificates or prepared to undergo training on commencement of the post. bull; Experience with the maintenance of Safety Shutdown Distributed Control Systems onshore and offshore. bull; Knowledge of IEE 17th edition wiring regulations. bull; Wiring experience is desirable. bull; Functional safety experience, as well as certification is desirable. bull; Minimum of 3-5 years relevant industry experience. bull; Can demonstrate a good understanding of relay logic and PLCs. bull; Experience using Autocad. bull; Experience using Windows and Office Applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Candidates must be: bull; Must have a willingness to travel as and when required. What you can expect from us: bull; Hybrid working, from home and our client #39;s offices in Aberdeen.
