Manufacturing Systems Engineer Shadsworth Business Park Up to GBP70,000pa Our client, a market leading manufacturing business are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team. The purpose of the role is to play a critical role in bridging the gap between information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) within the manufacturing facility. Collaborate closely with maintenance, system integrators, plant operations teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation and coordination of new and enhanced corporate directed software and hardware. The Primary focus will be on managing, monitoring, and controlling industrial operations, with an emphasis on physical devices, sensors and processes. Key responsibilities * An expert in Manufacturing Control Systems, including Electrical, PLC, SCADA, MES ERP Integration. * A subject matter expert for Digitalization, Automation Control Systems * Responsible for maintaining all plant systems, troubleshooting and program modifications and become the go-to resource for troubleshooting, user support, and system enhancements. * Modifies and updates existing electrical equipment, software and PLC programs. * Collaborate with engineering and maintenance technicians to maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems. * Ensure compliance with safety protocols during control system modifications. * Ensure compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity protocols, and safety regulations. * Conduct training sessions for plant personnel on OT technologies and best practices. Skills and knowledge required * Previous knowledge and experience with typical equipment software and PLC programming. * Bachelor #39;s degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field. * Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. * Experience with all Microsoft office software. * Strong understanding of all electrical safety training programs. * Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Please apply now
