The role is easily commutable from Wanstead, Walthamstow, Stratford, Hackney, Tottenham, North Finchley, Edmonton, Enfield, Loughton, Chigwell, Ilford, Dagenham, Cricklewood, Barnet, Islington, Waltham Abbey, Potters Bar, Chestnut, Watford, Pinner, Borehamwood, St Albans, Hertford, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Luton, Chelmsford, Brentwood and the surrounding areas. Main ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will have worked in a similar industry with experience of managing people and working on Highways, Infrastructure or Civils Maintenance Projects. Other responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive): Be an integral member of the commercial team supporting the Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor and provide leadership to the Quantity Surveyor rsquo;s Build a strong relationship with internal and client counterparts as well as working with members of the team to attain your full potential Working on commercial projects from pre contract stage through to completion ensuring contracts returns are maximised and complete forecasting across all within your works Engaging and managing sub-contracts including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applications Support the production of monthly CVR #39;s Work to produce both internal and client forecasts Production and substantiation through to agreement of associated Final Accounts Ensure all Riney and client processes are followed to minimise commercial risk Work with the wider team and ensure all work completed is accurately valued and followed through to cash collectionIn this role you will be in liaison with stakeholders across the businesses of Riney, Tarmac and CRH A car / car allowance is available with this role and therefore you must hold a FULL UK car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points - You must be able to travel across the region of work The Ideal CandidateAs our ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor here at Riney you will have: ESSENTIAL - Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying ESSENTIAL - NEC TSC contract experience, together with ICC Term Contract knowledge Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills Good oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical ability Process driven with strong commercial awareness and good negotiation skillsWhy UsIn addition to the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor with Riney we offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives, and benefits: Car / Car Allowance Access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers, holidays, etc. Access to our Employee Assistance helpline for free and confidential advice Access to join our Employee Communities (employee networks) we currently have nine communities inc.
