Mep design manager

Client: Working throughout several sectors including commercial, residential, data centre and life sciences, the business has seen a significant amount of growth in the last 5 Years. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business expects 2024 to be a similar period of growth. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to GBP120M, consequently they are looking to expand their design team. Despite their size, my client are a family owned and run business and this is a trait they pride themselves on with well over 80% of their clients using them on multiple occasions because of the nature of the business. Role: MEP Design Manager - Central London - GBP425 - GBP450 per day. The successful candidate will be responsible for the MEP design management of various building services on a large commercial refurbishment in Central London. Role/Responsibilities: * Design complete mechanical/electrical projects * Delivering design and information packages meeting project programmes * Provide appropriate design solutions for specialist customer specific requirements * Liaise directly with the project manager responsible for the project * Attend meetings and represent the company without support * Manage other designers and the CAD/REVIT/BIM team. * The use of CAD/REVIT/BIM software * Ensuring design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative requirements * Performing engineering calculations, making reasonable assumptions to support design validity The ideal candidate: * 3 years + experience as a electrical/mechanical designer/engineer * Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of electrical/mechanical design services. * Experience working in the commercial sector * Have the right forward-thinking attitude In return they offer: * A healthy pipeline of work. * A real opportunity for growth and development. * The opportunity to grow and manage a team * To join a business with excellent staff retention and family feel to it
