Geotechnical Engineer Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Reference: BY1327 Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP32,000. A ground investigation consultancy based in Newcastle upon Tyne are seeking a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer to join the team on a variety of exciting positons. Specialising in Phase I Desktop Studies and Phase II Site Investigation Risk Assessments, and with a niche team size to allow for progression and varied work, this consultancy can offer excellent opportunities for you to progress your career. Training provided where required. Niche team with room for career progression.This Geotechnical Engineer position will involve: Approximately 50% site work to 50% office work. Site work will include borehole logging, trial pitting and supervising ground investigations, as well as carrying out risk assessments. You #39;ll also be doing Phase I desk studies, writing reports and carrying out in-situ testing. Contribution to the training of junior members and/or developing your own skills is also encouraged.The Geotechnical Engineer selected will have a degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or a related subject. Candidates must have experience as a geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer or consultant, have exceptional communication and time management skills, hold a valid UK Driving licence and be commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne.
