Assistant Accountant Job Description Location: Worcester, Worcestershire, UK Salary: GBP27.5 to GBP35K Contract: Permanent * 25 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays * Company Pension * Social Events * Free Parking * Free Refreshments * 4 and half day Working week. * 36.75-hour week (Mon-Thurs - 08:00am-16:30pm Fri 0800am-12:45pm). Job Overview: Froude Limited, a manufacturer of highly-engineered engine testing products, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support our company rsquo;s ambitious growth objectives. Our customers include Ford, GM, Rolls Royce, Volkswagen, Siemens, GE, Pratt Whitney and a variety of other major international companies. Froude is headquartered in Novi, Michigan USA and we have a manufacturing centre in Worcester, United Kingdom. The Role: As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will collaborate closely with an experienced Finance Manager at our Worcester Facility, contributing to the daily operations of their business. This role promises fantastic training under a manager that has been in your shoes and will allow you to become a Management Accountant in the future. The Responsibilities: * Learn and understand SAGE ERP system in order to process AR, AP, wire transfer, and month end transactions in a timely and accurate manner * Accounts Payable ndash; Receive vendor invoices and assign invoices to jobs/ expense accounts within Sage * Accounts Receivable ndash; Invoice customers, follow up for payment, post customer receipts on to Sage * Prepare Bank reconciliations and reconcile cash on a monthly basis * Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts * Prepare monthly payroll and provide detail to external processor and record monthly entries in Sage * Prepare compliance returns (VAT) * Support auditors for annual financial audit * Prepare weekly cash forecast * Assist in preparing management accounts and statutory financial statements * Prepare Ad-Hoc reports * Analyze key indicators of the business * Support team for operational and financial process improvements The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities and you may be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by changing roles and the overall business objectives of Froude Limited Requirements * Knowledge of Sage * AAT Qualified or by experience * Preferably 5 years accounting experience * A team player, with a ldquo;can do rdquo; attitude, and flexible approach to work * Excellent written and verbal communication * Strong IT skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) * Good attention to detail and accuracy * Good organisational and planning skills * The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Personal Attributes Integrity Inquisitive Determined Organised Thorough Self-starter Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK
