Health and safety manager

Are you an operational Health and Safety professional looking to work within a successful company where you can truly make a difference? This Health and Safety Manager position will be integral to implementing Health and Safety systems and practices into a highly successful business and driving forward the HSE culture. You will report directly to the business #39;s MD, an individual who is truly committed to high Health and Safety standards. You will have plenty of autonomy regarding safety standards, and you will work very closely with all staff to positively affect the Health and Safety culture. Health and Safety Manager ndash; Wholesale and Distribution ndash; Huddersfield ndash; GBP50,000 to GBP60,000 (Depending on Experience) We would love to see CVs from people who have: A NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum qualification Experience within an operational HSE Environment (Logistics, Transport, Distribution, Wholesale, Chemical background is preferred) Experience in working closely with operational teams As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for: Working with the site operational team and implementing a proactive strategy for Health and Safety Coaching and mentoring people within the business on best safe practices Creating policies and procedures for the site and taking them from a good level of safety to a great level Engaging with site staff and helping improve the Health and Safety culture Investigating accidents and investigations and working on a solution to reduce the risk of these reoccurring Why should you apply?: You will be working in a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, and you will be exposed to a wide risk profile Due to growth, this is the first time the business has brought the HSE position in-house so there is a great opportunity to make a positive difference A real opportunity to implement a change programme and develop your career with the business The business is successful, sustainable and profitable If the opportunity is of interest, please apply today as we would love to hear from you
