We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Deputy Manager of a 4-bedded children #39;s home situated in Berkshire. We are partnering with a reputable Children rsquo;s Home provider committed to delivering exceptional care to vulnerable children and young people. With an established Ofsted-rated Good home supporting both males and females experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties in Langley, Slough, Berkshire, this role offers a chance to contribute significantly to the well-being of children in need. As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a nurturing environment for our residents. Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Manager: Support the Registered Manager in overseeing all aspects of the children #39;s home, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies. Assist in recruiting, training, and managing a dedicated staff team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional development. Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to meet the unique needs of each child. Help create a supportive and stable environment, promoting positive relationships and trust among the children and young people. Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support and achieve positive outcomes for the residents. Assist in monitoring and evaluating care delivery effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Contribute to budget management, resource allocation, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications and Requirements for the Deputy Manager: Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a children #39;s residential care setting is essential. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in children #39;s residential care. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective engagement with staff, children, families, and external stakeholders. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Relevant professional qualifications (such as NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. Possession of a full driving license and willingness to travel as required.
