Mechanical maintenance engineer

This role is working day shifts Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), although the role is Mechanically Biased, the hiring manager would like someone who has got some Electrical experience. The hiring manager would prefer someone who has previous experience within the Injection Moulding industry, but they would consider someone from other industries providing you have the right skill set and experience. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure all equipment is available, safe and usable by Shift Leaders and the production department. This includes injection mould machines and ancillary equipment such as water heaters and robots, material transportation systems and the chilled water system on-site. In your first few weeks in this Maintenance Engineer role, you can expect to: Maintain machines and ancillaries to a set schedule with a set scope of work for each machine Assist in developing schedules and reviewing any changes required based on breakdowns Complete emergency diagnosis and repairs when equipment breaks down Conduct frequent checks on equipment to ensure any new maintenance required is identified and completed Liaise with scheduler and production department to agree on time frames for maintenance and repairs.
