Garment technologist

Talent-UK are recruiting on behalf of their client a successful manufacturer clothing supplier for an experienced Ladieswear Technologist. The role is offered on a full time basis for a fixed term contract of between 9-12 months with an immediate start following successful interview for the right person About the Role This role is to oversee the development of goods (specifically Ladieswear) to ensure fair and consistent standards are applied in line with business priorities. Requirements middot; Working on multiple products (specifically Ladieswear) middot; To spec, fit and seal styles within the product ranges middot; Working closely with suppliers to ensure tasks are completed in line with critical path dates middot; Check and approve branding/labelling on each style in line with brand definitions middot; Assess and sign off on wash test reports middot; Oversee inspection of deliveries on relevant styles and agree actions on any rectification work required middot; Collection and analysis of returns information middot; Understand reasons for returns and take all possible commercial actions to improve performance middot; Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure smooth running of the day to day quality control function Experience You will hold a degree in a related field and knowledge of pattern cutting and construction. You should have strong attention to detail and accuracy skills and be conversant with related IT software.
