Design Project Manager Location: Leicester Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 Job Type: Permanent Hours of Work: Monday to Friday Engineering @ 365 are currently working with a specialist manufacturer based in Leicester who are recruiting for a Design Project Manager on a permanent basis. Job Description: As a Design Project Managers, you will be entrusted with running multiple projects at once ranging from GBP50,000 up a GBP1 million, dependant on the complexity of the client rsquo;s requirements. In this position, your main responsibility will be to gather and organise information for our drafting team to create models and drawings for client approval. You #39;ll also oversee managing the design and program aspects of your projects, which may involve attending site surveys and design meetings. While CAD drafting skills are not required, a solid understanding of design principles and pre-and post-construction project management is necessary. Key Responsibilities: * Work to produce and manage the design programme and Information Required Schedule. * Review all design deliverables, including specialist supplier elements and interfaces to establish that they are within budget are fully coordinated and are buildable. * Coordinate project team comments and resolve any design-related construction queries with the design team. * A desire to constantly learn, improve and share knowledge and experience. * Demonstrating project management qualities to encourage effective design team and construction team co-ordination and collaborative working to meet the Project goals. * Understanding the project requirements including Client briefs business processes, and Employer Requirements. * Assisting in the mitigation of design risks as part of the team. * Take part in design co-ordination and design progress meetings with the design team and sub-contractors and ensure that design risk assessments are produced. * Support in the production of the Contractors #39; Proposals * CAD drafting experience is not mandatory but advantageous. Requirements: * Previous Design and Project Management experience * Previous exposure and experience with Tekla and AutoCAD * Strong communication and project management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
