Infrastructure Cloud Engineer Location: Home Based Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 (+ benefits including training certifications) Skills: Azure, PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code, Bicep, Terraform We are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer for a global software and solutions organisation. Working as part of my client #39;s Professional Services Team you will be responsible for primarily supporting development environments for my client #39;s customers. Previous experience of working in an IT Managed Services environment is highly desirable as you will be working with a range of different technologies as every customer is different. What is needed for the role is experience of working in an Azure environment and commercial experience of Infrastructure as Code. You will have good commercial experience working with PowerShell, and any exposure to Bicep or Terraform would be preferred. This is a home based role with minimal travel. Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance is essential due to the customer you will be working with. Technical Environment: Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022 based systems including DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, RDS, DFS, GPO. Active Directory with multiple forests and forests with multiple domains Troubleshoot basic problems in MS SQL Office 365 tenant setup and configuration to best practise Microsoft Azure, IaaS and Identity management (ADFS, WAP) Working knowledge Private and Public Cloud platforms, Azure and AWS Virtualisation Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V,) SAN and Clustering technologies (Dell and HP SANs) Windows NLB and Clustering Resilient systems, both locally and geographically Microsoft System Centre (SCOM, SCCM, DPM, SCVMM) Backup Technologies (E.g Veeam, DPM, Commvault) Infrastructure as code implementations (Terraform, Bicep) Be able to manage basic firewalling such as Fortigate, Draytech and Sophos Write technical changes and implement where required Experience with scripting technologies for automation such as PowerShell Familiarity with a variety of compliance and security frameworks In return my client can offer an interesting role working with varied customers providing infrastructure solutions on innovative technology and development projects
