Inclusion Support Assistant- Pupil Referral unit I am currently recruiting for an inclusion support assistant working with KS3 learners, to ASAP at a pupil referral unit in Halifax temporary long term. Registering with PK Education as a behaviour support assistant will enable you to develop your profile within Pupil referral unit and alternative provision settings. It is imperative you are highly enthusiastic, with a deep understanding of the differentiated behaviours vulnerable children display. By developing yourself as a behaviour support assistant you will be rewarded in supporting vulnerable children to reach their full potential. Job description and Spec: Must have experience working with vulnerable children from age range 10- 16 years old that present with severe violent and challenging behaviour and SEMH needs Professional and adapt to situations in difficult circumstances. Will consider individuals from backgrounds including: Prison Officer, Probation officer, ex police officers, child psychology, youth workers and sports graduates, sporting backgrounds as these are all transferrable skills as an inclusion support assistant. Confident in your ability to get involved and promote effective, practical methods. Must have strong resilience and behaviour management. Have the ability to provide a position calm and nurturing environment. Understand the schools policies and procedures. Team-teach is an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
