International sales manager machine sales

Our client, an international manufacturing engineering business based in the Peterborough area, is now looking to recruit an International Sales Manager WITH MACHINE SALES EXPERIENCE to join the team. This is a hybrid role working from Peterborough, THAT INVOLVES INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL AS REQUIRED - up to 40% will be overseas!! A MECHANICAL ENGINEERING QUALIFICATION/BACKGROUND IS ESSENTIAL JOB PURPOSE: To identify, pursue and negotiate sales for capital equipment product range and support the development of the wider global business strategy. MAIN DUTIES: THE JOB (Main Duties): bull; To establish and develop sustainable customer relationships at all organisational levels in a professional manner bull; To maintain regular direct contact with our customer base bull; To ensure awareness of our products and services with both existing and potential customers bull; To support the preparation of proposals and then to negotiate and secure orders and contracts that are profitable, commercially secure and technically sound bull; To actively manage agents, distributors and colleagues in the territory through sales and commercial support, regular performance reviews and product training. bull; To identify and report market requirements to the business to support the business and R D strategy bull; To provide market information and competitor activity to support the development of our position in the industry CANDIDATE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: bull; Ability to think strategically to support the development of the global business strategy bull; Excellent communication and presentation skills bull; Commercial acumen bull; Proven ability to focus on objectives and outcomes bull; Potential to identify and pursue prospects and show leadership in allocating the company rsquo;s resources bull; Problem solver able to quickly understand engineering and process concepts bull; Confidence, skill and presence to successfully negotiate bull; Excellent networking skills and ability to build a profile with customers and within the group
