Mechanical contracts manager

Client: Working throughout several sectors including commercial, residential, education, and data centres, the business has seen a significant amount of growth in the last 10 Years. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business expects 2024 to be a similar period of growth. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to GBP130M, consequently they are looking to expand their operations team. Despite their size, my client are a family owned and run business and this is a trait they pride themselves on with well over 80% of their clients using them on multiple occasions because of the nature of the business. Role: Mechanical Contracts Manager - GBP85,000 - GBP95,000 + Package I am currently working the behalf of their fast-paced fit out division specialising in projects ranging from GBP0.5m - GBP7m MEP value typically within the commercial office sector. They are seeking a Contracts Manager to report directly into the Divisional Director and oversee the Mechanical Operations. Role/Responsibilities: * Involvement in estimating from build ability prospective and mid bid meetings * Tender review/validation * Upfront engineering ndash; looking at high level procurement and design * Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants) * Programming of works ndash; using MS Project or Asta project * Development of teams ndash; including recruitment of PM rsquo;s, Engineers and Site Managers and staff development * Value Engineering where applicable * All deliverables on a project * Client relationship management ndash; Main contractor, MEP consultant, professional team downstream to subcontractors) * Overall lead ndash; Technically, commercially, operationally * Overseeing multiple projects The ideal candidate: * Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment * Experience managing projects to a minimum of GBP5m within your own discipline * A minimum 5 years rsquo; experience in a management role * The candidate will show longevity in previous employment In return they offer: * Traditional, privately owned contractor with a family feel to it. * Given autonomy and responsibility to run projects and deliver a portfolio of works. * A healthy pipeline of work ndash; our client has secured the majority of their turnover for next year. * Join a stable business who have an excellent staff attrition rate. * A very competitive basic salary, package and an excellent bonus scheme
