Orion Automation are currently in partnership with a Somerset-based pioneer in the instrumentation and telemetry industry who are experiencing significant and consistent growth. As a result of this strong business growth, there is a requirement to recruit for an Embedded DSP Engineer to join their growing team. They offer clients a turnkey service to research, design, and manufacture a range of High-powered electromechanical devices, specifically tailored to perform in high-pressure and temperature environments. The Embedded DSP Engineer Role: DSP implementation Maintenance and development of the design. Code review, perform other programming tasks, provide troubleshooting assistance and technical support.The Embedded DSP Engineer will need: 3+ years as a DSP Engineer or similar role Experience working with OFDM technologies Knowledge of Forward Error Correction methods Expertise in signal processing theory, algorithms, and implementation techniques Expertise in embedded code for timing critical applications DSP implementation on small microcontrollers and FPGAsSkills Qualifications BA in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and VHDL Proficiency in modelling packages such as Matlab or Octave Strong ability to write structured code and clear documentation Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skillsWhat we offer the Embedded DSP Engineer: Salary paying up to c.GBP70,000 p.a doe and suitability Flexible Working Hours Annual Bonus (historically c. 10%) Bupa Healthcare Life Assurance.
