Cnc machinist

We have a vacancy for a competent CNC Machinist. You will be expected to safely produce parts for the extensive range of products in a variety of materials to a broad range of tolerances, both individual #39;one off #39; to batch quantities. You should be able to work with good concentration and precision and be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are a must. Responsibilities Duties include (subject to experience): Running and monitoring CNC machines. Routinely checking and monitoring Machine Shop throughput/efficiencies. Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines prior to commencing work. Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during and after completing work. Examine own work, checking for defects to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications Record work activity.Qualifications Skills: Proven experience working with CNC Lathes and/or Milling machines. Experience using Mazak CNCs desirable Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools The ability to work in both Metric Imperial units. An understanding of drawings / technical data A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach Good communication abilitiesThis role is available immediately and will commence on a temporary provision initially but there are permanent prospects for skilled candidates. The role requires you to work an early and late shift pattern between 6am-10pm Monday to Friday and any overtime that is worked is paid at a premium.
